Trip to the Zoo anyone? The Reid Park Zoo, founded in 1967, is a 24-acre city-owned and operated nonprofit zoo located within Reid Park in Tucson. The zoo features more than 500 animals, and they’re all excited to see you!
See elephants and lemurs, zebras and capybaras, giraffes and a rhino–all on a stroll around the park. It’s a great day for the whole family with animal educational opportunities, info sessions about the zoo’s conservation efforts, satisfying munchies at Flamingo Grill, and daily activities listed on the zoo website. You’ll find ticket information there, too, including opening hours and entrance guidelines. Plan to make a day of it with lots of fun for the little ones in your group!
Or, make it an adults-only visit and catch Brew at the Zoo on Saturday May20th from 6 to 9 pm. Taste a wide selection of craft beer, hard ciders, lagers, and ales from Arizona’s finest brewing companies as you travel around the Zoo. Listen to live music in the Event Garden and in Tanzania, enjoy games and fun photo ops, and take home a commemorative tasting glass. Pub-style food will be available for purchase throughout the Zoo. You must be 21 years or older.
