Experience the beauty of the Santa Catalina Mountains and the Sonoran Desert on horseback with Catalina Riding Club. Nestled within the Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa, our club offers horsback trail rides through Arizona’s iconic desert scenery. Ride along saguaro-trodden trails guided by our knowledgeable staff and discover the rugged charm of the Southwestern terrain.

Equestrian Escapades

in the Sonoran Desert

Join us for trail rides at 7am (sunrise) and 6:30 pm (sunset) from May to September, and experience the desert flora and fauna of the Santa Catalina mountain foothills on a sure-footed stock horse. Our 60-minute walk and 90-minute walk/trot rides include a short safety lesson, making them great for beginners. Explore our private trails spanning 80 acres of the resort.

From October to April, experienced riders can go on off-site adventures with our 2, 3, or 4-hour rides through Catalina State Park, Sabino Canyon, the Rillito River, or Saguaro National Park. These rides offer a deeper immersion into the region’s natural beauty, allowing you to explore vast landscapes, folded hills and mountains, and the area's unconstrained spirit.

Summer Camps

Horseback Riding, Farm Fun, and Swimming

We are excited to offer camps from 8am to 12pm, Monday through Thursday, all summer, all ages and skill levels. (Children aged 2-5 must be accompanied by a registered and paid adult.) Enjoy learning horsemanship, Western and English riding, playing with small farm animals, and cooling off with a swim in the resort pool.

$85 per camper per day, with a discount of $75 per day when booking 4 or more days. Under 'Riding Options,' select 'Horse Camps' and complete the form. We will contact you shortly.

Private and Group Riding Lessons

Catalina Riding Club offers private and group Western and English riding lessons for ages 6 and up, as well as Kinder lessons for ages 2-5. Our experienced instructors provide a safe learning experience for all skill levels.
